ILSC & Annual Planning Meeting

Thanks to reduced numbers of COVID cases in Los Angeles County, the Cabrillo Youth Waterfront Sports Center was open again for small cohort trainings and merit badge workshops. On February 28th the Crew was able to gather in person again and enjoy the California sunshine while holding our first Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews. In order to follow the current health guidelines, the physical team building projects were eliminated and our Crew President, Björn J, and Secretary, Jason S., presented the materials to a captive audience.

Since many of the Crew had yet to fill out the yearly Interest Survey, the Annual Planning meeting was postponed to the March 3rd Meeting where everyone in attendance who hadn’t yet done so, began the meeting with filling out the survey. Many great ideas were pitched as upcoming activities including golfing, hiking, Wondercon, and boating. Several activities were added to the annual calendar as crew members volunteered to organize their preferred events. The Treasurer, Duncan J., presented statistics regarding recent discussions about fund raising and distribution options for upcoming events and standard operations costs.
