Crew 42 – Tier 3 Adventure – Los Padres

August 16-19th we traveled to Los Padres National Forest and camped at McGill Campground. Jason Schwartz found this great location and even scouted it out ahead of time with his dad, thank you Mr. Schwartz! Due to busy schedules our attending mentors were Mrs Johnson and Mrs Hansen. We learned a lot about planning carpooling and schedules for optimum site reservations when trying to get first come first served sites.

Our A team arrived early and successfully secured the First Come site next to the reserved site. The B team departed later and towed the trailer of equipment.

The crew cooked a lot of good food, played D&D, frisbee, board games and went on a 2.5 mile hike.
