<div dir="ltr">Dear Crew,<div><br></div><div style>Tomorrow night, Thursday, January 31st, we will be meeting at the North Kitsap Pool. Our meeting will start in their upstairs room from 7:00 to 8:00 pm then we will move to the pool for swim tests from 8:00 to 8:30. Swim tests are required for almost all of our water based activities. Our cost to use the facility is only $12.00, there is no per person use fee involved. Please remember to pack a towel along with your swimsuit. By holding this test early in the year, it will give those who may not be strong swimmers, time and opportunity to improve their ability prior to any spring and summer water activities. I'll bring some snacks for after the meeting.</div>

Each group is assigned a specific swimming area with depths consistent with those abilities. The classification tests should be renewed annually, preferably at the beginning of the season. </div>
<div><br></div><div>Swimmers pass this test: Jump feetfirst into water over the head in depth. Level off and swim 75 yards in a strong manner using one or more of the following strokes: sidestroke, breaststroke, trudgen, or crawl; then swim 25 yards using an easy resting backstroke. The 100 yards must be completed in one swim without stops and must include at least one sharp turn. After completing the swim, rest by floating. </div>
