[Don't Panic!] Kayaking, September 17, 2012

We did a quick 8 miler this afternoon from the Suquamish Tribal Dock to Poulsbo via Agate Passage.  We took out at the Marine Science Center.  We never realized how wonderfully abundant the sea life was at Sandy Point near the Casino.  However, Liberty Bay needs some serious conservation effort if they ever expect it to recover.  The city just can’t be allowed to continue to discharge directly into the Bay; it was like paddling through foul-smelling coffee grounds once we passed Keyport/Lemolo.
