Yep -We are still meeting at Wal-Mart tomorrow at 9am. This will include
everyone except Malachi, Trevor & Sam who we'll meet at approx 9:40am at the
Beaver Valley Road Park n Ride just off Hwy 104 at the exit for State Route
Mon - Murphy, Golden, Zantek (Gear), Thiel - Transport to Park n Ride
Fri - Golden (to Park n Ride), Neault (Gear), Turley, Thiel - Transport from
Park n Ride
Pickup is scheduled at approx 11:00am at the Upper Dungeness Trailhead.
We'll then proceed to Fat Smitty's for lunch (bring extra $).
An Amendment: Please bring $40 for food & gas (transportation costs have
increased since last calculations)
Again, a reminder to review the packing list & bring permission forms.

Here are some finalized details about the upcoming backpacking Trek:
Date/Time/Location - Monday, July 23rd we will meet at Wal-Mart in Poulsbo
WA at 9:00am sharp. We will then fill out forms, payments are due, and load
up to meet the rest of the crew near Port Ludlow (Sam, Malachi, and Trevor).
Trek - Marmot Pass, starting at the Upper Big Quilcene Trailhead and ending
at the Upper Dungeness Trailhead. 5 days - 13.4 miles
Participants - 11 Total (9 youth, 2 adults)
Zack Mr. Murphy
Melissa Karen Turley
- If you do not know your tenting plans already please contact your buddy
before the trek and plan accordingly!
Kodiak Leadership Course - Will be taught on the trail by Mr. Murphy, Zack,
***Bring a pen and a large pad to write on***
Packing List - See attached document and use as a checklist!!! Please
remember that you will be responsible for carrying ALL YOUR OWN gear, plus
crew gear and crew food. So leave space and be ready to carry more weight
than your own personal gear!
- We will be having a quick "pack/gear check" before we hit
the trail on Monday.
Meals - See attached document.
- You are responsible for your own Mess Kits!
- Cooks will be assigned for each meal necessary (responsible
for cleanup as well)
Costs - Food - $25
Gas/Transportation - $8
Total - $33
***Also, bring money for lunch at Fat Smittys on Friday ($10-15)***
Transportation - Drivers, you should know who you are. I will be contacting
each of you with directions and further details in the next couple days.
