Crew,
Yesterday, our crew provided two and a half hours of service to create a
storm drain in downtown Kingston. We first weeded the area, then planted at
least 100 or so plants along the hill. Venturers who provided service were:
Jeanette M.
Nick W.
Trevor N.
Robert K.
Chris Z.
Sam R.
Sam G.
Adults:
Mr. Murphy
Mrs. Zantek
Mr. Turley
Our crew is now officially a part of the Messengers of Peace, and people who
provided service received a Messengers of Peace patch to put on their
uniform.
Also, there will not be a meeting tonight, since we had our business meeting
a week ago.
We have extended the due date for officer submission forms. Please fill one
out and email it to Mr. Murphy or co-ordinate with him when to give him your
form. You MUST submit a form by September 13 to be eligible to run for an
office at our September meeting. The officers are very important to the
success of our crew. Our crew has been alive since 2006, and we'd like to
continue staying strong. But we can't do that if we don't have crew
officers.
With that, I hope you all have a great start to the school year and I hope
to see all of you at our September meeting to vote on ByLaws and for Officer
Elections.
Yours in Venturing,
Chris Zantek
