The Council recently announced that Crew 1042 achieved the 2009 Centennial Quality Unit Award, and was the first to complete it in Kitsap County. This is our 4th CQUA recognition in 4 years! To earn the award, the Crew completed a 100% training level for all registered adults, retained and recruited more youth, earned personal awards for Venturers, and had a vibrant outdoor program as well as community service. Congratulations to everyone associated with the Crew, who may now wear the 2009 CQUA patch on their uniform sleeve.
By earning the CQUA for each of the three years leading up to the 2010 BSA Centennial, a unit can qualify for the 2010 Centennial Honor Award. As one of the few Scouting units and the ONLY Venturing Crew in Kitsap County with Quality Unit awards for 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, our Crew is meeting its training, service, activities, and program goals. W00t!
