We did it again. For the fifth successive year since the Crew has been chartered, we earned the Quality Unit designation. This included a review of our membership growth and retention, having all adults fully trained, Venturers earning recognition awards, and an active calendar of activities based on an annual planning conference lead by the youth. Since this completes the Centennial series that lead up to the BSA's 100th anniversary in 2010, we have been designated as a Centennial Quality Unit. This is the last year that will use a grading criteria which is goal-oriented. Starting in 2011, the new system is called the Journey To Excellence, and all Venturing Crews nationwide will be compared to standards set by the National Council. The new grading is much more challenging and winners will be designed as Bronze, Silver, and Gold level. Any guesses which award we're shooting for?
