Venturers Adam and Jeff have been selected to participate in the 2009 American Legion Evergreen Boys State program.  Boy State participants are those completing their junior year in high school and are among the 300 students state-wide selected to participate. 

Evergreen Boys State is a relevant, interactive problem-solving experience in leadership and teamwork that develops self-identity and civic responsibility using a process of mock-government. Run by the American Legion, students from all over Washington who have just completed their junior year of high school are selected through a rigorous local application process. They spend a week at Central Washington University, learning and growing together, and just as important, meeting new people and having fun.
