On August 29th, our crew provided two and a half hours of service to create a storm drain in downtown Kingston. We first weeded the area, then planted over 700 plants along the hill. Venturers who provided service were Jeanette M, Nick W, Trevor N, Robert K, Chris Z, Sam R, and Sam G.  We appreciated the help of our Key 3 adults: Advisor Scott Murphy, Committee Chair Marj Zantek, and Chartered Organization Rep Ron Turley.

Our crew is now officially a part of the Messengers of Peace, and people who provided service received a Messengers of Peace patch to put on their uniform.  The MOP initiative is inspired by the World Scout Committee, administered by the World Scout Bureau, and driven by youth volunteers worldwide. This also represents our service project of the 3rd Quarter for this year as an outpost in the Corps of Discovery.
